Reviews
This CD contains a good number of Mucha's works (though I believe some of the color variations were left out) in an easy to view format. Personally, I don't care for the slideshow presentation, but the alphabetical and thumbnail listings are quite handy, and having relevant print information in the sidebar is quite nice.I love the ease of point & click, but I was a little disappointed that a "detail" tool was not incorporated. The pictures are available only in the size that they appear on screen, and if your resolution is above 1024 x 768, they're going to appear very small. The ability to zoom in to examine the pieces closely is sorely missed. I also found the music annoying as it seemed to interfere with the smooth play of the introduction and the "slideshow," but that will vary by system (though I consider mine to be "faster" than most). There is no "print" utility available on the CD, but you can obtain small, low res captures by using the "Print Scrn" button. The price is steep, and unjustified considering it's a Macromedia presentation - not an advanced viewing application - however, it's worth the investment for the material it contains. Books of Mucha's work are equally pricey, but not as portable or easy to flip through.
